Not a lot of bands experimenting with a claymation look, these days. The joke’s on Clinic, though; claymation was creepy way before they got their hands on it.
“Rubber Bullets” comes from Clinic’s new Wheeltappers and Shunters record, described by the band as “a fun, dancefloor album in these dark and conservative times” (har har). Its title is taken from The Wheeltappers and Shunters Social Club TV show—the band’s guilty pleasure, or perhaps meta-humour?
Wheeltappers and Shunters is out in May.
Like a cross between Tool’s album artwork and the intro to the old Spider-man cartoon. Also reminiscent of a recent Clinic video (we’ll say it again: free-floating eyeballs are too creepy for words).
“Drop” is the title track from Thee Oh Sees’ upcoming full-length; it arrives on Record Store Day.
