Beck – “Nicotine & Gravy”

From Beck’s too-brief sexy period.

Not much happening here, aside from graphic translations of the lyrics, but the source material is weird enough that it comes off like a parody of the incomprehensible Japanese cartoons that often get lambasted on American sitcoms.

Intriguing bit: the text that pops up in thought bubbles at the end (“God speaks in sine waves of antique frequency…”) appears to be original to this video (as far as Google knows, anyway).

“Nicotine & Gravy” comes from Beck’s 1999 album, Midnite Vultures.
